R&D Scientist

Entry level position for recent PhD with degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Nutrition, or Biochemistry. Position will work and function in a fast paced, multi-disciplined lab to investigate new uses for enzymes and enzyme interactions with other macro and micro nutrients in food processing, nutrition, animal feed and medical foods. Candidate will work in cross functional teams as well as be expected to work independently on projects. Ideal candidates will have some knowledge and experience of enzyme usage and their effects and benefits in nutrition in humans or animals. Knowledge and ability to understand and use current analytical techniques such as HPLC, LC-MS and others preferred.

Additional Preferred Skill Set:

  • Experience publishing data in peer reviewed journals
  • Detail oriented
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability
  • Excellent written and oral communications to provide and support customer and sales training
  • Analytical skills as related to protein, carbohydrate and lipid analysis
  • Design of experiments knowledge
  • 0-2 yrs experience
  • Creativity

  • Ability to work full time in U.S
  • Willing to travel
  • Experience with processing equipment such as spray dryers, mixers etc.

Marketing Coordinator

Entry level position for experienced and creative marketing professional. Candidates should be able to work in a fast paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment. A clear understanding of integrated marketing, and balancing in-house creative and agency out-sourcing will be critical. Position will support, plan and manage marketing strategies, product launches and communications for BIO-CAT and BC Microbials in conjunction with the VP of Sales & Marketing and upper management approval as required. Both high potential/talented junior marketing associates and more experienced marketing professionals that are “roll-up your sleeves” team players would be great additions to our team.

Additional Preferred Skill Set:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications is preferred
  • 5-8 years of experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Project management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Trade show experience
  • Ability to work in team or individually
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies, budgets, deadlines, graphic/visual arts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred
  • Basic understanding of the following is a plus: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, WordPress, Constant Contact, Google+, Google Analytics
