Power Pack

Type

Microbial Blend

Application

Aquaculture

Description

Power Pack is a blend of concentrated, viable spores of selected, naturally occurring, non-GMO Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus licheniformis along with a nutrient media base and sodium thiosulfate. These strains were selected for their synergistic ability to break down proteins, complex carbohydrates, fats, oils and organic acids – major constituents of shrimp feed and feces. Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus licheniformis produce large quantities of hydrolytic enzymes that degrade decaying organic matter at the bottom of the pond, reducing the accumulation of sludge.

Physical Characteristics

Odor and appearance: light tan free-flowing powder on a bran carrier

Activity

Total plate count: 2.5 billion CFU/g

Usage Recommendations

Bloom building: Mix one 200-gram package of Power Pack in 20 liters of tap water. Incubate for 24 hours under continuous aeration. Apply the entire brew to a 2.5 acre shrimp pond.

Shrimp grow-out: The first day of culture, add 40 liters of Power Pack fresh brew per 2.5 acres. Then add 20 liters of brew per 2.5 acres daily until harvest. In case of excessive accumulation of organic matter in the pond increase the daily dose to 30 liters of fresh brew Power Pack per 2.5 acres.
